Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites can save on the user's device to enable certain features, store preferences or analyse navigation.
Some analytics technologies may collect information without using cookies.
2. Cookies used by this site
The site lemaks.it does not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies, remarketing cookies or cookies intended to track users across different websites.
The site does not use third-party analytics cookies such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar or equivalent tools.
3. Self-hosted analytics
The site uses Umami, a self-hosted analytics system accessible via analytics.lemaks.it.
Umami does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. The service is used exclusively to produce aggregated statistics on site traffic, such as pages visited, visit source, browser, device, language and approximate geographic area.
The tracker is configured to:
- limit operation to the lemaks.it and www.lemaks.it domains;
- not collect search parameters or URL fragments;
- respect the browser's "Do Not Track" setting;
- not send data contained in contact forms;
- not use personal identifiers, profiling, behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking.
No session replay tools, heatmaps, conversion pixels, persistent identifiers or equivalent features are active.
4. Similar technologies: local language storage
The site is available in multiple languages (Italian, English, French and Spanish). To remember the user's chosen language between visits, the site uses the browser's local storage (localStorage), via a single entry called lemaks_lang.
This is not a cookie: the value is never sent to the server, contains no personal data, is not shared with third parties and cannot be used to profile the user or track them across other sites.
This technology is considered strictly necessary to provide the language-switching feature explicitly requested by the user, and therefore does not require prior consent.
Users can delete the preference at any time from the browser settings ("site data" / "storage" / "cookies and site data" section).
5. Consent and cookie banner
Since the site does not use cookies or tracking tools for profiling or marketing purposes, and the technologies used (aggregated statistics and language storage) are strictly necessary for the site to function, prior consent via a cookie banner is not requested.
Users can nonetheless prevent statistics from being sent by enabling the "Do Not Track" setting in their browser.
6. Data processed and retention period
Information collected via Umami is used exclusively to analyse and improve the site.
Statistical data are retained for a maximum period of 12 months and subsequently deleted or anonymised.
The language preference stored locally in the browser persists until the user manually deletes it or clears site data from the browser settings.
For further information on personal data processing and user rights, please see the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to the Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated over time. Any changes will be published on this page with the date of the latest update.
